MAPS Yield Bridge

DBR Rev 3.0 basis: raw maize → excipients, dry basis and as sold. Change any number and everything updates.

1. Plant and maize (baseline)

White fields hold DBR Rev 3.0 values (reference IDs shown). Starch content and recovery are still Provisional in the DBR. Blue numbers are values you type.

tonnes per year (833.3 TPD)
days per year, inclusive of downtime
% of raw feed
% of cleaned feed
% of dry solids (Provisional)
% of starch content (Provisional)
% as co-products (DBR assumes all)

2. Product slate (baseline)

Dry t/y, DE and as-sold solids come from DBR sheet B (the capacities are dry product solids, TQ-014). Line yield is the share of the theoretical conversion actually achieved after the front end. The DBR has no step yields yet, so the yellow values are placeholders.

3. Concepts to compare

Each concept is applied to the baseline above, so your inputs are never overwritten. Click a concept to see its full results in section 4. The yellow settings are illustrative targets, not design data.

% of recovered starch (B1, B2, B3)
% of its starch (B2)
% of starch (B3)
percentage points, capped at 99.5 (B3)
% of non-starch solids (C)
% of baseline feed and slate (D)

Concept E (resource efficiency: water, steam and power per tonne) is not modelled here, and the DBR has no utilities basis yet (sheet J). That belongs in the equipment-level model, such as SuperPro Designer.

4. Results balance closes

Bridge, step by step (t/y)

Starch margin

The DBR (TQ-011) quotes 135,648 t/y needed against 139,120 t/y recovered. Small differences come from using 250,000 t/y rather than 249,990.

Dry-basis ceilings (t/y)

Slate in this concept (dry t/y)

5. How sensitive is the answer?

Unallocated starch (t/y) for the concept shown in section 4, across maize starch contents and recoveries. Red means the slate needs more starch than the maize supplies.
